The Franchise Returns
The Franchise Returns.
The wait is officially over. After a long, tiring negotiation, I have resigned with the Vegas Knighthawks for the 2026 season. There were many options on the table. New cities. New leagues. But I always knew I wanted to stay in the city that I brought a championship to. Sometimes in life, you don’t always see eye to eye with your business associates. After multiple phone calls and meetings, me and the VKH organization got the deal done.
It was very important for me this season to choose what was best for ME! I had to show that I was going to put myself first, and not back down on my worth. Sometimes, it is hard for us in life to go against the grain. Especially, when we allow our feelings to get involved in business. I took months consulting with family and friends, to see if I was doing the right thing. EVERYONE told me to choose ME.
Football is a production based business, just like any other job in the world. If you produce well, or excel in your job description, you should reap the benefits. And let’s just say… I have OVERLY produced in my career! Whether it was game winning touchdowns, championships, or community service, I have ALWAYS shown up and shown out! So all I wanted was what I was worth. I guess sometimes you have to remind people, and that’s ok. DON’T EVER BE AFRAID TO PULL UP YOUR STAT SHEET TO SHOW SOMEONE THAT YOU WORKED REALLY HARD TO BE GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO! No matter what career field you are in! Because once again, there is a reason why you were chosen! I’m glad the deal is done, and I’m ready to bring another exciting season to my fans.
This very well could be my last time putting on a helmet and shoulder pads… so if you have ever supported me at any time in my career, I would love to see you at a game this year. Will I get my third IFL Championship? Back to Back? Only God knows, but I can’t wait to see! But to sum up my career so far… You only get ONE LIFETIME, I’m BLESSED to say I achieved my DREAM in mine.
